Kenneth R. Swienton,

Visitation for Kenneth R. Swienton, 86, of Palatine for over 50 years, will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 3:30 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A private Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Kenneth was born June 25, 1932 in Chicago and passed away September 19, 2018 in Arlington Heights.

He was the beloved husband of Carol for 58 years; loving father of Michele (Kirk) Dissen, Michael (Margot) Swienton, Mark Swienton and Mike (Renee) Clemetsen; loving grandfather of Max Swienton, and Jacqui and Gabi Clemetsen; dear son of the late Albert P. and Lillian (nee Skowronski) Swienton; fond brother of the late Albert Swienton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Midwest Dachsund Rescue, 2023 Ridgewood Street, Highland, Indiana, 46322.

The family requests Chicago sports attire for the visitation and service. He was an outstanding football player (halfback) at Schurz High School and University of Illinois. He was a lifelong Chicago sports fan.
