A celebration of life for Kimberly Ann Failor Tinerella, 57, will be held in the spring of 2017.
Kim was born on December 15, 1958 in Harrisburg PA to Jeannette Fromm Failor Rodgers and William Dale Failor and passed away peacefully at home November 6, 2016.
She married Thomas James Tinerella October 2, 1981. She graduated from Forest View High School, Arlington Heights in 1974. Kim then went on to obtain her Bachelors of Science from Elmhurst College with a degree in Advertising/Marketing/Psychology. One of Kim’s career highlights was with MDA Scientific Inc. in Lincolnshire, where she was a well respected International Sales Representative. Her career took her on many adventures throughout South America. Following her retirement from Corporate America, she focused on her passion of local Government and served four years as the Township Supervisor for Ela Township. After completing her term, Kim focused on her family’s Custom Concrete Company in Lake Zurich which is celebrating their 50th year of serving the community this year.
Kim will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom; doggie daughter, Emma Lou; mother, Jeannette Rodgers of Lake Zurich; father, William (Alice) Failor of Mechanicsburg PA; stepdaughter, Tammy (Toby) Georgiou; grandchildren, Niko Vilaneva and Lily Georgiou of Palos Hills; brothers and sisters, Michael (Kathy) Failor of Waxhaw NC, Scott (Kristen) Paris of Lake Tapps WA, Christopher Failor of Dillsburg PA, Suzanne (Bill) Kotomski of McHenry, IL, and Michele (Steve) Hebert of Mechanicsburg PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and loving in-laws.
Kim was preceded in death by her stepfather Bruce Rodgers in October of 2011, and sister in-law Joann Failor April of 2016.
