Lacey R. Chernikovich

A Celebration of Life for Lacey Renee Chernikovich, 40, of Lake Zurich, will be held at a later date.

Lacey was born on June 24, 1984. She passed away on February 4, 2025.

Lacey is the cherished daughter of Kelly Hartmann and the late Richard Garfield; loving sister of Lindsay Garfield (Matt Jones) and aunty to our kitty (Tuna Boy). Lacey also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lacey was an amazing daughter, sister, best friend, chef, adventurist, listener, supporter and naturalist. Lacey was such a beautiful person who had such a compassionate, generous and loving soul.

Lacey loved to spend her time painting, camping, cooking, going to concerts and traveling.

Although Lacey’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. Lacey taught us all to love hard, experience life and to slow down and enjoy the ride. The happiest people don’t have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything.
