A Memorial Visitation for LaDarius Antonio Hill, 34, of Schaumburg, will be held, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL. The Inurnment will follow, with full military honors, at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.

LaDarius Hill was born on May 13, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois, to Belveter (Beverly) Hill. He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Karen Branch, alongside his older brother, Darnell Hill, and sister-in-law, Sarah Hill. He graduated from Palatine High School in 2009. That same year, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served for nine years as a Sergeant in the Marine Wing Communications Squadron.

During his service, LaDarius earned numerous accolades, including the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserved Medal, Selected Marine Corps Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Letter of Appreciation, and Sharpshooter Pistol and Rifle Qualification Badge.

While serving, LaDarius honed his skills and forged lifelong bonds with his Marine brothers and sisters, including Angel Santiago, Brian Lopez, Geossimar Antunez, Ivan Valdez, and Tony Delossantos. In 2012, he met Brittany Timberlake—it was love at first sight. From the moment they locked eyes, they were smitten with one another, drawn together by an unshakable connection. Their first date at California Pizza Kitchen that same year became the beginning of forever—a night filled with laughter, deep conversation, and the unspoken promise of a lifetime together. In 2014, they welcomed their first son, Blake Alexander Hill, and the couple married in 2016.

LaDarius deeply loved Blake, affectionately calling him “Man.” He took great joy in teaching him about modern technology, gaming, and fishing, always encouraging him to “Finish Strong” in everything he pursued. His greatest dream was for Blake to one day follow in his footsteps and join the United States Marine Corps.

In 2018, LaDarius transitioned out of the USMC and pursued a career in a field he loved—IT Project Coordination and Cybersecurity. He was a gentle soul, tech-savvy, a natural problem solver, and an innovator with a generous heart. Always putting his family first, he would give his last to ensure their comfort and well-being.

In 2021, LaDarius and Brittany welcomed their second son, Brayden Axel Hill. From the moment Brayden was born, LaDarius formed an immediate and unbreakable bond with him. Their wrestling and tickling sessions were filled with laughter and joy—memories that will stay with Brayden forever. LaDarius dreamed of Brayden growing stronger and wiser, embracing life with resilience and determination. His goal for both boys was to continue being the great “Hill Brothers” and to build a legacy of their own.

LaDarius was known as the “little big brother”—wise beyond his years, with a generous and protective soul. He was goal-oriented, kind, and did whatever it took to ensure his family, especially his sons and his nephew Jaylan, were taken care of. LaDarius had a deep love for fixing things and helping others, always willing to lend a hand.

He had an eclectic taste in music and television, especially enjoying Hip-Hop and Country. He loved watching Storage Wars, Naked and Afraid, and 90 Day Fiancé with Brittany. Exploring new restaurants was one of his favorite pastimes, and he approached every adventure and vacation with a meticulously planned agenda—always ten steps ahead. His presence was magnetic, effortlessly brightening any room with his warmth and ability to make everyone feel welcomed. A protector at heart, LaDarius had a rare gift for connection, leaving an unforgettable impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

LaDarius passed away on February 1, 2025, in Schaumburg. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his dedication, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His generous spirit, infectious laughter, and ability to bring people together left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his love, strength, and unwavering spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

LaDarius was the devoted husband of Brittany D. Timberlake; a loving father to Blake Alexander and Brayden Axel Hill; and a cherished son of the late Belveter Hill, Helena Sykes (mother-in-law), and William Timberlake (father-in-law). He was the adored grandson of the late Karen Branch and Barbara Stewart (grandmother-in-law) and a devoted brother to the late Samuel Hill, Darnell Hill, Shalon Hill, Sarah Hill, Brandon Timberlake (brother-in-law), and Dasha Timberlake (sister-in-law).

LaDarius was also a proud uncle to Jaylan Watson, Sharon Harms, and Tianna Hill. He was a deeply respected family member and friend to Jeremy Harrison, Twana Bragg, Christina and Angel Santiago, Brian Lopez, Geossimar Antunez, Ivan Valdez, Tony Delossantos, Audrey Blair, Richard Joseph, Molly Huerkamp, and the entire Boyd Group.
