Lawrence A. Peterson

Visitation for Lawrence “Larry” Peterson, 80, will be at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Mass, 12:00 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017.  Recitation of the Rosary will be during the visitation led by Fr. David F. Ryan.  The Burial will be private.

Larry was born in Bedford, IN on March 17, 1937, beloved son of J. Robert Peterson and Vivian Peterson (nee Williams) and died peacefully on November 27, 2017.

Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Peterson (nee Lorenz) of Madison, IN, beloved children; Jane (Maurice), Larry (Joana), Elizabeth (Ron) and Marilyn Jane (Tony).  Larry also adored his 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and sister Emily, who all survive him.

Larry was a dedicated teacher in Palatine District 211 for over 40 years.  For many of those years, he directed the plays, variety shows and musicals for Palatine High School, which he enjoyed immensely.  For the past 3 years, Larry has been an active resident at Cedar Lake Assisted Living in Lake Zurich, IL.
