Leonard E. Staes

     Funeral Mass for Leonard E. Staes, 71, of Lake Barrington, formerly of Evanston, will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich; where he will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass.  Father David Ryan will officiate the Mass.  Interment will follow at MemoryGardensCemetery in Arlington Heights.

Leonard was born October 9, 1941 in Chicago, and he passed away July 19, 2013 in Glenview.

Leonard was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He retired from Washington National Insurance Company.

Leonard was the loving brother of Wayne E. (Kathleen) Staes, Edward L. (Catherine) Staes and Judith (James) O’Neil; fond uncle of Julie (Tom) Jermakowicz, Rosie Staes, Vincent (Jacquie) O’Neil, Joseph (Holly) O’Neil and Michael Staes; dear great-uncle of Autumn Jermakowicz, Zoe O’Neil and Peyton O’Neil; loving son of the late Edward L. and Gladys P. (nee Moorman) Staes.
