Luciano Fraterrigo

Visitation for Luciano Fraterrigo, 88, of Lake Zurich, will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 am, then proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. An Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

He was born in Tunis, Tunisia on March 15, 1935, and passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, in Barrington.

He was an avid gardener, a collector of model cars, loved to craft things for his homes. He also loved animals and never said no to his children whenever they brought home a stray squirrel, rabbit, bird. We had them all.

Luciano was the loving husband of the late Rosalia; father of Lou (Colette), Marisa (Steve) Padrta and Sergio (Jacqueline); grandfather of Sara (Brian) Hook, Daniel Fraterrigo, Julia Fraterrigo, Mikayla Fraterrigo, Kross Fraterrigo, Aaron Koonce, Sarah Kogue, Sophia Fraterrigo, Mia Fraterrigo; great grandfather of Bentley Zack, Bella Hasenbuhler; brother of Elena (Eugene) Troia, Domenica (Joseph) Inserra, Francesca, Rubino (Simone).

Family pets Yoshi, Maisy, Pepper, Mya, Harley and Jinx.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
