Lydia Kuhlman

The family plans a Memorial Service after the Holidays for Lydia Kuhlman (nee Behrens), 95, which will be presented at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Palatine.

She died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Home in Palatine.

She was the loving mother of Carol (Ernie) Baker, Linda (Herb) Pozdro, David (Andi) Kuhlman and Nancy Kuhlman-Ntim. Grandmother of Lisa Pozdro-VorBroker, Steven (Jackie) Pozdro, Kelly Wessling, Julie (Rich) Chapman, and Andrew Ntim.  She was also honored with 9 great-grandchildren.

Lydia spent the last 14 years at St. Joseph’s Home being surrounded by loving staff and family that lived locally.  Her days were spent volunteering at local resale shops, and also filled her time reading biographies and her prized Bible.  She enjoyed her life and time on earth, but always knew the life that awaited her.  She will be missed, but we know she is now dancing joyfully.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lydia’s name, to St. Joseph Home would be appreciated.
