A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Lynda Pepper Bollman passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the age of 69.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Bollman, her mother, Roxelyn (Roxy) Pepper, brothers Stan (Chris) Pepper, Dick (Karen) Pepper, Scot (Anne) Pepper, and sister, Lisa Pepper. She is also survived by her six daughters, Jennifer (Craig) Warmbold, Amy Bollman, Stacey (Shaun) Meesak, Megan (Ryan) Marchand, Jessica (Darragh) Farrelly, and Sarah (Tim) Bollman Mikeworth. She is predeceased by her father, Richard Pepper, brother, David Pepper and his wife, Katy.
Lynda was born in Evanston, IL on September 29, 1954, and was the heart of our home and family. Always at the center of her large family, she made time for everyone and ensured all of her children and grandchildren were supported and loved. She was adored by and deeply loved her nine grandchildren, Marlana, Cassidy, Tyler, Lily, Luke, Liv, Logan, Molly Quinn, and Caelan. She proudly boasted about each of them and their accomplishments. She never missed a grandparent's day at school or a sporting event; she was everyone’s biggest cheerleader.
Outside of her family, Lynda was passionate about giving back to her community and helping others. Her generosity and philanthropic nature was shown through the many organizations in which she volunteered. Prior to her passing, she spent the last 2.5 years serving as the Chair to the HAP Foundation and previous to that, she joined the JourneyCare Foundation Board of Trustees in 2015. There, she served as Chair of the Board for two years and spent an additional three years on the Executive Committee. She also served as President of the Pepper Family Foundation.
We will forever miss coming home to the smell of her spaghetti cooking on the stove, her love for crossword puzzles, interrupting her afternoon reading time, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and her epic parties. Her legacy will live on in our hearts. She will be forever missed. “When I get where I'm going, On the far side of the sky, The first thing that I'm gonna do, Is spread my wings and fly.”
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any tributes be directed toward the Lynda P. Bollman Pediatric Program at the HAP Foundation or the Lynda P. Bollman Signature Memorial Fund. She loved both organizations with her whole heart. Checks for either can be sent to 1274 N. Forest Ave, Palatine, IL, 60067, and will be donated.
