Margaret “Lynn” Staples

Margaret “Lynn” Staples (nee Hefley), 70, of Lake Zurich, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL.

Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.  Father David Ryan will officiate.  The Interment was private.

She was born in Chicago, IL, on February 25, 1943, to the late Winifred and Lee Hefley. Lynn graduated from Prospect High School.  She married Kenneth D. Staples on November 28, 1964 in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Lynn was a beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, friend and member of the community.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth D. Staples; children, Kenneth L. (Donelle) Staples, of Wauconda, IL, Kimberly A. Staples-Simon of Barrington, IL; grandchildren; Samantha L. Simon and Chelsea E. Simon, of Barrington, IL and Kenneth G. Staples and Nicole L. Staples, of Wauconda, IL.  She worked alongside her husband to build a successful local business, KD Staples & Son and was employed by Ela Township as Secretary to the Supervisor for many years.

Lynn was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine J. Ritchey and her brother Thomas Hefley.
