Margaret M. Cahill

Visitation for Margaret M. Cahill, 99, of Palatine, and formerly of Wyoming, Illinois, will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Interment Services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, Noon at St. Dominic’s Catholic Cemetery, Wyoming, IL.

Margaret was a graduate of Rosary College, River Forest, Illinois and St. Clara Academy, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin.  She was a librarian for Lewis University, Chicago and the State of Illinois.  Later in life she was a grade school teacher at Wyoming Community Grade School, Wyoming, IL.  Quilting was her avocation. .  

Beloved wife of the late William Edward Cahill; loving mother of Colleen (John) Matthys, Rosemary (John) Butterfield, William (Carol) Cahill, Kevin (Sharon) Cahill, Karen (Bill) Walsh, Maureen Cahill, Francis (Diane) Cahill, Denise Cahill; loving grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 20, daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (nee Barnes) Murphy; sister of the late Kathryn, Anne, John, Bernard, Rose, Josephine, Mary and Robert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL 60067.
