Margaret passed away peacefully on the morning of September 15, 2023. A loving mother of nine children, a doting grandmother to twenty-eight grandchildren, and proud great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, Margaret will be remembered for her generous and nurturing spirit, and for working tirelessly to care for her large and growing family.

Margaret was born August 16, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Francis and Ruth (nee Claney) Windisch. The fourth of six children, Margaret graduated from Allegheny High School, Pittsburgh, PA in 1956. She was known for her sense of humor and friendly disposition. As a mom, Margaret was a talented cook and exceedingly organized homemaker. Later in life, Margaret was fond of puzzles and traveling with her late husband of 59 years, Joseph, and for her crafts – painting porcelain figures, sewing and making sock monkeys for her grandchildren.

While Margaret is now at peace in heaven, those who loved her will forever cherish their memories with her.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Bondi; sister to Helen Chraska; loving mother of Joseph (Margaret) Bondi, Robert (Kathleen) Bondi, Rose (Frederick) Curry, Mary (William) Sullivan, Patricia (Richard) Ripoli, James (Loretta) Bondi, Daniel (Stephanie O’Boye) Bondi, Ruth (Gregg) Boeke, and Maria (Jeffrey) Walter; loving grandmother of twenty-eight grandchildren and loving great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Joseph; parents Francis and Ruth (nee Claney) Windisch; siblings Francis Windisch, Ruth Flannery, William Windisch, and Jeanne Turba.
