Marie Adel

Visitation for Marie Adel (née Scandora), 92, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Chicago, will be held Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. before the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 300 E. Cole Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. Her cousin, Father Robert Hoffenkamp, will say Mass. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.

Marie was born June 24, 1926 in Chicago and passed away May 17, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Beloved wife of the late Morrie Adel; dear daughter of the late Angelo “Andy” and Theresa (née Longo) Scandora; fond sister of the late Anthony; loving aunt of four; dear great-aunt of thirteen.

Marie enjoyed knitting baby sweaters adorned with Cubs, Sox, Bears, or Blackhawks logos. They were a hit in gift shops and featured in a Channel 2 news segment.
