Marie L. Burda

Visitation for Marie Ludovina Burda, 87, of Rolling Meadows, will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine.  Prayers will begin at 9:15 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023, also at the Funeral Home and process to St. Colette Catholic Church, 3900 Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows for the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. The Interment will be private.

Marie was born on August 28, 1935, to Charles and Violet Braghini.  She passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at home.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Burda; loving mother of Charles (Karen), Walter (Mary Ann) Swietlik, Brian (the late Susan) Paul, and the late Glen Paul; stepmother of Anne (Jim) Walker and Joanna (Craig) Smith; cherished grandmother of Stephanie Swietlik and Melissa Paul; step grandmother of Ethan, Erik and Emily Walker, Olivia and Sydney Smith; dear aunt of Nicolette O’Connor. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the House of Hope.
