Services for Marilyn J. Hastings, 82, a resident of Lake Zurich for 25 years, will begin with prayers at 9:30AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, LakeZurich, proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM.  The interment will be private.  A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.

Marilyn was born on February 10, 1931 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (nee: Hodan) Schroeder and passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 5, 2013.

Beloved wife of the late Theodore Hastings; loving mother of Kenneth Hastings, Keith (Michelle) Hastings and Scott (Debbie) Hastings; cherished grandmother of James, Molly and Nicole Hastings; also survived by many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her brother Robert Schroeder.
