Marilyn Jean Kruckenberg

Visitation for Marilyn Jean Kruckenberg (nee Hartwig), 84, of Hawthorn Woods will be on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods.  The Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Hawthorn Woods.

Marilyn was born on March 24, 1932 in Barrington, IL, she died on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her home in Wauconda after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.  Marilyn lived her adult life as a devoted farm wife on the family farm in Hawthorn Woods.

She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin H.; mother of Kathy (Harry) Schildkraut, Gerry, Nancy (Ken) McCoy, Michael (Karen) and Rick (Christina); grandmother of Rachel and Eric Schildkraut, Josh and Kim McCoy, Kasey and Chandler Kruckenberg; daughter of the late Russell and Louella Hartwig; sister of the late Judy Stilke, the late Audrey Hartwig and the late David Hartwig; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Beautification Fund, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047.
