Marilyn R. Szott

A Memorial Service for Marilyn R. Szott (nee Freeman), 82, Lake Zurich, Illinois, will be held at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, Il on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:30 pm.  Her Pastor and friend Rev. David O. Kyllo will officiate.  She was born in Oroville, California on October 9, 1932 and passed away on December 25, 2013 in Folsom, California.  Marilyn is the beloved mother of Rod (Karen) Chance, Sandra (Doug) Ahlgrim and Joe Jr. (Heather) Szott; grandmother of Max and Gillian Chance, David, Richard and Lucy Ahlgrim, Logan, Caspian and Asher Szott; daughter of the late Dave and the late Ester Freeman; Sister of Brent (Ilene) Freeman, Betty Bradley, Joan Benbow, Wayne (Pam) Freeman, Gloria Leathly and David Freeman; aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husbands; Richard V. Chance and Joseph T. Szott and her sister Louise Cook.  She loved gardening and was always full of ambition and joy.  Memorials may be made to the Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich, Il 60047.
