Marilynn S. Kinsella

Visitation for Marilynn S. Kinsella (nee Schmitt), 92, of Palatine, will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 S. Quentin Road, Palatine, Illinois 60067 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private family at Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.

Marilynn was born November 10, 1929 in Chicago, and passed away February 28, 2022 in Palatine.

Marilynn was the loving mother of Karrie Benjamin and Kevin (Linda) Kinsella; loving grandmother of Kurt Benjamin, Kenny Benjamin, Kellie (Kevin) Casey and K.J. (Kaitlyn) Kinsella; loving great-grandmother of Michael Casey and Miles Kinsella; dear daughter of the late Paul G.F. and Opal (nee James) Schmitt; fond sister of Paul (late Trudy) Schmitt, the late Charles Schmitt and the late Martha Berg.

Marilynn’s undergraduate degree was from University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and her graduate degree was from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.  She was the National Vice President for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.  As a single mom, she raised her two children. Family and faith were everything to her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to All Saints Lutheran Church, designation of the Good Samaritan Fund, would be appreciated.  Good Samaritan Fund donations allow All Saints to support deserving people in times of acute need.
