Marion V. Wendell

Visitation for Marion Vic Wendell, 93, of Barrington, will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington.  The interment will be private.

Marion was born on January 23, 1929, in Chicago and passed away, surrounded by his family, on October 20, 2022, at his home in Barrington.

Marion is the beloved husband of Dolores (nee Wozniak); loving father of Maria (Brian Cheeseman) adored grandfather (aka Poppy) of Rebecca, Peyton, Samantha, and Aidan; dear son of the late Frank Wendolowski and Harriet (nee Michalak). He was a beloved uncle and godfather to many.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Leo (Ann), Hank (Violet), Fritz (Vernon Smith), Irene (John Kortyka), Ted (Laverne) and Mollie (James Rice).

Marion loved to sing and was especially proud of his years with his band The Whispering Nights. He had many passions including old movies, old cars, art, music, and reminiscing with family. His grandchildren were the center of his life. He will be greatly missed by so many of us.
