Marlene M. (nee: Althaus) Krasinski, 79, of Palatine, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. She was born in Chicago on January 4, 1938 to Robert J. and Martha (Pins) Althaus.
Beloved wife of the late Gerald Krasinski, devoted mother to her dear children, Kathleen (Glenn) Lewiston, Michael J. Krasinski, Corinne (John) McNeil and Kristen L. Benson; cherished grandmother, “Waz”, “WaWees” to Brooke, Kennedy, Corrine, Erin and Christopher.
She will be welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband Jerry, granddaughter Jacquelyn, her brother Robert, and all who have preceded her to her Heavenly home.
Marlene was employed in the Culinary Program at Marshall Fields at Hawthorne Mall for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, and spending time with her family. The holidays were by far her favorite time of year. Marlene and Jerry’s home will be remembered as a warm, welcoming place to those who entered, both young and old.
Funeral services honoring Marlene’s life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine. Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. A visitation for Marlene will be held at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. To close the evening, a time of sharing will take place at 7:30 p.m. Memorial remembrances to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine, IL 60074, would be appreciated.
