Visitation for Marlene J. Yankoe, 86, of Lake Zurich, will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL. Prayers will be said at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024, and process to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. An Interment will follow at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Marlene was born on November 29, 1937, to Anton and Esther Obodzinski. She passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024.
Marlene will be remembered for being a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Marlene was the beloved wife of the late George Yankoe who died in 2016; loving mother of John (Theresa) Yankoe, Georgeann Yankoe, and Joanne Baumeister; cherished grandmother of Christine (Brian), Kimberly (Bryan), Luke (Jackie), and Markie; dear great-grandmother of Anthony, Emma, and Colin; fond sister of Anthony (Carol) Obodzinski and Antoinette Obodzinski. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Elaine Holloway.
