Mary A. Gerontakis

     Funeral services for Mary A. Gerontakis, 35, a lifelong resident of Arlington Heights, will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine, IL60067.  An interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.  Father Peter Balkas will officiate.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Trisagion Service, 7:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL60067.

Mary was born September 14, 1977 in Arlington Heights, and passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

Mary was a graduate of the University of Iowa in Engineering.  She was employed with IDOT for over 10 years.  She was an active member of St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church.

Survivors include her parents, Basil and Theodora (nee Botsios) Gerontakis, brother, George Gerontakis; and her dog, Max.
