Mary Eileen Nelson

Visitation for Mary Eileen (nee Myers) Nelson, 72, of Palatine, will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, June 16, 2016 also at the funeral home.  An Interment will follow at Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Mary was born on June 19, 1943 in Orangeburg, SC the daughter of Edith (nee Taylor) and the late Gerald Myers and passed away at home on Sunday, June 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Mary had been a teacher’s aide at Walter R. Sundling Jr. High School in Palatine for many years.  

Survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Edward E. Nelson; cherished daughters Carrie (Neil Harnen) Nelson and Kim Rouse; loving mother Edith Myers; treasured grandchildren Jaimee (Jimmy) Thomsen, Jeffrey Nankervis, Lee (Kristin) Nankervis, Emily Rouse, Wesley Nankervis and Mary Claire Rouse; sister Margaret Myers and her brother Jerry (Emma) Myers; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
