Mary E. Harrison

A Memorial Visitation for Mary Ellen Harrison, 71, of Palatine, will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. The Interment will be private.

Mary was born on March 1, 1953, in Portage, WI the daughter of the late Galen Eugene and June Marie (nee Wilson) Harrison and passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Mary attended St. Theresa and Palatine High schools. While in high school she helped to create her mother’s business Anser-Rite which served the Palatine and surrounding areas for over 30 years. She then worked and finished her career at Rose Packing in South Barrington.

Mary was the dear sister of the late Kathleen Ann (the late Raymond) Kessro, the late June Marie Harrison, Gail Elaine (the late Berndt) Petersen, Donna Eileen Harrison, Rita Agnes Harrison, the late Galen "Buck" (Katherine) Harrison; Richard Louis (Susan) Harrison, Patricia Joan (Klay) Baur; Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her significant, Bruce Ankele of 34 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mary would be appreciated for American Society for the Protection from Cruelty to Animals, ASPCA.
