Mary Kathleen "Kathy" King-Knoll

Visitation for Mary Kathleen “Kathy” King-Knoll, 75, of Palatine, will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy. Palatine, with a service at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

Kathy made her appearance into the world on October 22, 1948 in Greenville, Mississippi to her parents that she loved so much, dad Walter and mother Virginia King. She peacefully passed away, surrounded by those who loved her, and Kathy gained her wings on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

After graduating with multiple masters’ degrees from LSU, she worked as a high school teacher. She then relocated to Chicago on her own and through her determination and hard work ethic, she became one of Chicago’s top real estate brokers. She took great pride in her work. Kathy was most proud of her children and grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.

Kathy will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many. She was a loving, beautiful force and will be greatly missed. Her legacy will live on through her husband, Edward, and her children: Warren Bremer, Virginia King Heinlein (spouse: Tom), Christopher Bremer (spouse: Jamie), Andrea Montana King Knoll, Jessica Guha (spouse: the late Aveek), daughter-in-law Lisa Marinaccio, daughter-in-law Dawn Bremer, and her beloved grandchildren: Kaitlynn Bremer, Joshua Heinlein (fiancée: Katie), Emma Heinlein, Samuel Bremer, Elijah Bremer, Zoe Guha, Payton Bremer, Jaylynn Barscheski-Bremer, Drew Heinlein, Layla Guha, and Isabella Carmela Knoll-Marinaccio, as well as her great grandson Liam Heinlein, her sister Frankie Jo King, godson/nephew Taylor King Bertin, and her brother, the late Walter Anthony King.
