Mary L. Smerdon

Visitation for Mary L. Smerdon (nee Esterly), 83, of Rolling Meadows since 1962,  will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 1:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be held in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Born February 3, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri, and grew up in Sarcoxie, Missouri.  She passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her home.

Survivors include her children, Mary (Carl) LaLonde, Susan (Donald) Schneider and Jane Smerdon; grandchildren, William, Megan, Kenneth and Lucas; brothers George (late Judith) Esterly and William (Sara) Esterly, and sister, Virginia (Jerry) Larson.

Preceded in death by her husband, William D. Smerdon, parents, George and Louise (nee Zane) Esterly.
