Mary Lou Izmer Richard Izmer

Visitation for Mary Lou and Richard Izmer of Palatine, IL and North Richland Hills, TX, will held Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Prayers will be said Monday, April 7, 2014, 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.  The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Mary Lou was born September 28, 1929 in Chicago, IL the dear daughter of the late Louis and Mary (nee Brandwein) Schroeder and passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Keller, TX.  Her husband Richard was born February 8, 1927 also in Chicago, the dear son of the late Adeline and Ignatius Izmer and he passed away just two days later on Monday, March 31, 2014 in Keller, TX.  Richard and Mary Lou were married for 64 years.

Loving parents of Louella (Neville) Dowell, Laura (Lee) Daniel, and Lesley (John) Welch; cherished grandparents of  Lindsay (Jamie) Santiago, Marlo (Dylan Glosecki) Dowell, Laurel (Blake Merchant) Daniel, Christopher Welch, Melissa (John Lazoritz) Welch-Lazoritz; loving great-grandparents of  Logan, Sophia and Bennett; also surviving is Richard’s sister Alice (Glen) DeViney. Richard was preceded in death by a sister Betty Izmer and Mary Lou by a sister Juanita May.
