Maureen A. Griffin

A Memorial Visitation for Maureen Ann Griffin, 61, of Elmhurst, formerly of Des Plaines and Victor, Idaho, will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  A Memorial Mass will be said, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, IL, Palatine.  A Private family Inurnment will be held at a later date at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Maureen was born April 1, 1955 in Chicago and she passed away December 2, 2016 at Northwestern Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL.

She was a nurse her entire career having worked in the Cardiac Intensive Care at Northwestern Central DuPage Hospital for the last 10 years and prior to that she worked at St. John Medical Center, Jackson, Wyoming, and Eastern Idaho Medical Center, Idaho Falls, Idaho.  She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed traveling.  Most of all, her family and friends were everything to her.

Dear sister of John (Carol) Griffin, Kathleen (Jerry) Moore and Michael (Heidi) Griffin; loving aunt of Connor Griffin, Bridget (Kevin) Kelly, Miles (Stefanie) Griffin, Sean (Annie Condron) Griffin, Kathleen (Brendan) Sheils, Courtney Griffin; and great-aunt of Griffin, Kade, Ryan and Brooklyn; dear daughter of the late John and Julia (nee Connolly) Griffin of County Galway, Ireland.
