Maureen loved to give back and be involved. She was always heavily involved in her daughter’s sports and music activities. She loved her time with her family the most. She loved camping and listening to music, live or around a campfire. She loved to garden, even when it didn’t work in her favor. Towards the end of her life, she spent a lot of time volunteering for numerous charities, GiveNKind and WINGS. She was also a docent at the Lake County Dunn Museum. She was an active community member her whole life.
Maureen was the loving wife of Christopher; mother of Jessica Carter (nee Degen, husband Stephen Carter) and Emma Degen (fiance Mae Flavin); grandmother of Maya Carter (11) and Cameron Carter (due in April); sister of Gerald Mulligan (wife Barbara) and Bernard Mulligan (wife Roberta); and daughter of Ed & Isabelle Mulligan.
