Maureen was born on December 11, 1932 in Wilmington, DE to Francis and Emily Slattery. She passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry Sherman; her children, Kate (Chad) Hawley, Rick (Jackie) Sherman, and Steve (Beth) Sherman; grandchildren, Alex, Chase, Kellen, Mae, and Kyle; and her brother, Franny (Joan) Slattery.
She was preceded in death by her son Jon Sherman; and her daughter-in-law, Cathy Sherman.
Maureen was a talented musician who used her gift at St. Theresa’s Church for nearly 50 years as their organist – playing masses, rehearsing with the choir, playing at funerals and weddings. After she retired, she continued to share her talent by volunteering at The Little Sisters of the Poor in Palatine, playing weekly masses there.
She was dearly loved by her family and her love will live on in all of them.
