Michael F. Speciale

Visitation for Michael F. Speciale, 65, of Palatine, will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.

Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home, with an entombment following at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.

Michael was born November 13, 1952 in Chicago, and passed away February 7, 2018 in Arlington Heights.

Beloved husband of Nicole Speciale (nee Perry); loving father of Michael J. (Danielle) Speciale, Christopher B. Speciale, and Richard A. Speciale; loving Papa of Corey E. Asquith, Jacob L. Speciale, and Reagan M. Speciale; dear son of Bernice Ann Speciale (nee Alongi) and the late John Salvatore Speciale; fond brother of John Speciale, Therese M. Anderson, Joseph A. Speciale, and the late Richard A. Speciale.

Michael was a devout Christian who spent much of his time seeking and embracing the Lord through the Scriptures.  He cherished spending time with his family – everything from the simplest of times to the most special.  Michael was a major sports enthusiast; he loved watching and playing any sport.  Michael had a Master’s Degree in the field of Science in Education. “Mr. Spesh” was a 30+ year esteemed educator with Chicago Public Schools.
