Michael was born July 23, 1955 in Chicago, and he passed away unexpectedly May 19, 2021 at home.
Michael was the beloved husband of Maria Hanrahan (nee Oseguera); loving father of Brian M. Hanrahan and Michelle N. Hanrahan; dear son of the late Homer and Marian (nee Frey); fond brother of Mary Ellen (Baker) Hanrahan, Karen Hanrahan, and Steve (Mueller) Hanrahan.
Michael had an eventful childhood growing up around Park Ridge. He enjoyed playing sports with his brother Steve, picnicking by the willow trees with his sister, Mary Ellen, and paid close attention towards his studies. He worked very hard in school and earned a total of 5 master’s in mathematics and computer programming over his lifetime. Michael worked as a professor at Rasmussen College and privately tutored students in his free time.
He leaves behind his two children, a son and daughter, Brian and Michelle, and his loving wife, Maria. He cared for his family each and every single day, always putting them first.
Michael actively attended church every Sunday and loved God. He also enjoyed mathematics, doing remodeling work around the house, teaching, tutoring, and watching his favorite classic movies and TV shows. But most of all he enjoyed being a loving father and husband, and spending time with his dear friends and family.
