Michael Mazzone

Michael Mazzone, Sr., 67, of Palatine, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 7, 1956, to James and Florence Mazzone (nee Francikowski), Michael led a fulfilling life centered around his family and work. He spent his career at the phone company, serving as an IBEW electrician until his well-deserved retirement a few years ago.

Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a bird watcher, enjoyed friendly card games, indulged in casual rounds of golf, and found solace in the pages of his favorite books.

For 46 years, Mike shared an unwavering bond of love and companionship with his beloved wife, Judith Mazzone (nee Wieckowski). Together, they built a legacy of love that continues through their children Valerie, Michael Jr., Joseph (Anni Mubasa), and Christine (Adam) Eccleston, and their grandchildren, Jemma, Jayda, and Josephina. Michael also leaves behind a circle of dear friends; and a network of extended family members, including brothers, James and Phillip Mazzone; in-laws, and cousins, who will remember him warmly.

In honor of Michael's life, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
