Michael P. Sullivan Sr.

Visitation for Michael “Muskie” Patrick Sullivan Sr., 79, of Lake Zurich will be from 4:00pm until 9:00pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, LakeZurich.  Funeral Service will be 10:00am on Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, 1050 S. Old Rand Road, LakeZurich.  The interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Ela Township, IL.

He was the most wonderful caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend anyone could ever have, he passed away suddenly with his family at his side October 10, 2013.  Michael was born in Cadott, WI on February 13, 1934 to Bill and Nora Sullivan.

He attended University of Nebraska-Omaha, married Carol Anne Schneiderwind in 1957, was an active member in the American Legion, Peace Lutheran Church and an Air Force Veteran.  He was also a former Baseball Coach, Scout Leader, Ela Township Trustee and Forest Lake Board Member.

Mike was the loving husband of Carol: father of Michael Jr. (Mary), Melissa (Jim) Michael, Bill (Mary), Joe (Michelle), the late Molly (Matt) Vehrs and the late Michelle Sullivan; grandfather of Jim, Mike III, Dave, Brad, Katie, Bill, Tim, Tommy, Matt, Winona, Joey, Matthew and Joel; brother of Tom, Jerry, Melva, Noreen and Jackie; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to Juvenile Diabetes Association.
