Millard Rutkoski

Memorial visitation for Millard Rutkoski, 76, a resident of Palatine since 1985, will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 10:00am until time of the Memorial Service, 1:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. The Interment will follow at a later date in Randhill Park Cemetery.

Millard was born on August 5, 1937 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Millard F. and Genevieve M. Rutkoski and passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014.

Beloved husband of 25 years of Loretta L. Rutkoski; loving father of Thomas (June) Herff, Kenneth (Tiffany) Herff; cherished grandfather of Kelly and Conrad Herff; dear brother of Karen (Clyde) Fultz; also survived by nephews William (Linda) and Scott (Jennifer) Kuban; and niece Michelle (Robert) Denbow.

Millard was retired from The Chicago Northwestern/Union Pacific Railroad.  He had over 35 years of devotion to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, obtaining the highest rank of Commodore.  He spent his later years enjoying retirement by becoming actively involved at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, and by traveling and being in the company of his loving family.
