Mwenya Lumbwe

Visitation and Service for Mwenya Lumbwe, 44, of Streamwood, IL will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, Illinois.  The Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.  

Mwenya was born on April 16, 1979, and passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Mwenya was a beloved single mother of the late Karl Clermont and twin boys, Karl and Karlton Clermont; loving daughter of Margaret and the late Jack Lumbwe; beloved sister of the late Kalasa Lumbwe, Chishala Lumbwe and Ngosa Lumbwe-Babaletskos.

She is the beloved sister-in-law, niece, cousin, granddaughter, beloved aunty to many nieces and nephews and friend to many.

She was loved by many and welcomed everyone to her home, where she enjoyed hosting lavish gatherings. She was always the first one to take to the dance floor, and her infectious laugh was always sure to grab everyone's attention.

She worked hard so she could give her children everything, loved to travel and visited many places. She enjoyed fashion and wearing eye-catching clothing, shoes and accessories.

She was a generous provider, and worked hard to give her children nothing but the best life they could ever have.

She leaves behind countless memories of happiness and laughter to so many of us. She will be greatly missed.
