Paul R. Vontin

Visitation for Paul R. Vontin, 81, of Barrington for 35 years, will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Avenue, Barrington, IL 60010.  An Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.  The Reverend Marc Cohen will officiate.

Paul was born April 8, 1933 in Chicago and he passed away November 28, 2014 in Palatine.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean conflict and he was very patriotic.  He was a devout Christian, and a longtime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Barrington.   He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Paul was the beloved husband of Karen M. Vontin (nee Mueller); loving father of Blane R. Vontin, Christy P. (Robert) Rubin and Wendy R. Marro; dear son of the late Paul C. and Edith G. (nee Ehlert) Vontin; fond brother of the late Howard Vontin.
