Paul T. Steffens

Visitation for Paul T. Steffens, 74, of Calumet City, will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 2:00p.m. until 9:00p.m…  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017, 9:15a.m. from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd (Rte. 6) Dolton/South Holland to St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 768 Lincoln Ave. Calumet City, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m..  The Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood.

Paul was born on October 31, 1942 in Chicago, IL  and passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.  He was the owner of Steffens Bakery, member of the Southside Master Bakers, Retail Bakers of America, a Bank Board of Director, City Fest Coordinator, member of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary.  Paul was also a Navy Veteran and an avid bowler, golfer and poker player.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joan (nee Guzzo); children Jennifer (John) Halloran and Gina (Cory) Kitchen; grandchildren Karsyn and Kendal Kitchen and Johnny Halloran; sisters Alyce Kurecki and Judy (Chuck) Lutz.

Paul was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey, parents Alvin and Jennie Lou, sister Cheryl (Chuck) Crescent.
