Penny Marie Khoury

On Thursday March 28th, 2024, Penny Marie Khoury, a native of Palatine, loving devoted wife, mother, “grammie” and great grandmother passed away at the age of 82.

Penny was born on January 5th, 1942, in Elgin, IL to Russell and Grace Winter. Most of Penny’s life was spent in Palatine where she raised three children with the love of her life, the late George Jamil Khoury. Penny's hobbies included craft making, decorating her house for each and every holiday, and watching the birds that visited her backyard with quiet joy. In addition, Penny's kitchen was the heart of her home, where she baked weekly homemade brownies and Texas sheet cakes for her family. Penny and George were known for hosting the most memorable 4th of July parties, where no detail was left unnoticed. She will be deeply missed.

Penny is the dear mother of George (Mary Beth) Khoury, Paul (Jeannie) Khoury and Amy (Jeff) Mainzer, cherished grandmother of Caitlin (Michael) Warford, Kyle Khoury, Trevor Khoury, Ethan Khoury, Samantha Mainzer, and Jake Mainzer; and fond great grandmother of Theodore Warford. She is also survived by her brother, Mark (Rita) Winter.
