A Visitation for Philip J. Rosenburg, 74, will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00am on Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 North Benton Street, Palatine. The Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, Niles IL.
Philip “Butchie” was born in Chicago, IL February 21, 1946, the youngest of 5 siblings; Joan, Benjamin (Beverly), Mary (William), Valerie (Howard). Uncle to many nieces and nephews who have treasured memories of his quick wit and humor.
After graduating Saint Patrick’s High School he worked various jobs before founding Technipaq, Inc. with wife Jan. Phil was recognized as a valued member of the medical packaging industry. Phil enjoyed golfing, dancing, fine dining, shopping and traveling. He cherished summer weekends at his lake house in Lake Geneva with family and friends and winter escapes experimenting with the snowbird lifestyle in Florida. Phil was generous, fun loving with a passion for Frank Sinatra and laughter.
Philip is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Janice (Nee Mazza) Rosenburg; children Pamela (John), Jeanette (Mark), Brian (Amy); grandchildren (Johnny, Josiah, Grace, Austin, Vivian, Evelyn, Joseph, Kaitlyn, and Audrey).
He was preceded in death by his parents; Benjamin and Irene Rosenburg, brother Benjamin Rosenburg and sister Joan (Nee Rosenburg) Stuhr.
