Ralph M. Potokar

Visitation for Ralph Martin Potokar will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, from 3:00p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 8:00p.m.  The Reverend David Ryan will be officiating.  The Interment will be private.

Ralph was born on June 24, 1926 in Lyons, IL the son of the late Martin F. and Theresa “Rose” (nee Prah) Potokar and passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.

Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a 50 year member of the Des Plaines Elks Club and longtime member of the Rolling Green Country Club.  Prior to the retirement of Ralph, he had been the owner of Midway Construction Company which he had founded in 1955.

Beloved husband of the late Mary L. (nee Dolezal) Potokar; loving father of Martin (Susan), Ralph (Jacqui), Steven (Lori) Potokar; Mary Kaye (Mike) and Lisa (Craig) Wente; cherished grandfather of Kimberly, Ryan (Christy) Potokar, Bridget (Steven) Jensen, Joshua (Jeanette), Melissa, Jacqui and Michael Potokar; great grandfather of 10; preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
