Reyes A. Jerard

Visitation for Reyes A. Jerard, 85, of Lake Zurich, formerly of Palatine, will be on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 also at the funeral home and process to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. An Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Reyes was born on December 5, 1932 to James and Carmella Nunez. She passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Reyes, the matriarch of her family, was the glue that held everyone together for every holiday, especially Christmas, and every other event with the entire family. She had so much love for anyone she met and touched everyone’s hearts. She will be deeply missed.

Reyes is survived by her husband, Milton F. Jerard; her children, Cindy (Cary) Livingston, Sandy (Gary) Hansen, Suzy (Rich) Starzec, Wendy Jerard, and Rick (Tracey Prate) Jerard; her grandchildren, Michael, Jacob (Jennifer), Nicholas, Gregory (Rachel), Christopher, Richard, Robert, Ryne, Kaitlyn and Dylan ; great-grandson, Brady; her siblings, James (Susan) Nunez and Linda (the late Tim) Bakalyar; brother-in-law, James “Chick” Vani; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Josephine Vani, Camille Hudson, and Dolores (Robert) Vani.
