Richard E. “Dick” Storm

Visitation for Richard E. “Dick” Storm, 79, of the Palatine area for 55 years, will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Visitation will continue Monday, January 23, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 144 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.  The Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Palatine.  The Reverend David Mercer will officiate.

Richard was born, July 18, 1937 in Trowbridge, Illinois and passed away January 18, 2017, at home, in Palatine surrounded by his family.

Richard was a 38 year local retired school teacher and coach.  He was a competitive long distance runner and cross country skier and an avid biker.

Beloved husband of Sharon L. “Shay” Storm (nee Goss); loving father of Derek (Sharon) Storm, Joel Storm, Shannon (Taylor) Bechtold and Shelly Storm; loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Alec, Nicholas, Cole, Mackenzie, Ryan,  TJ, Kaia, Christiana; dear son of the late E.G. and Olive (nee Shadow) Storm; fond brother of the late Beverly Hucksted.
