Richard J. Kowalewski

The Memorial Visitation for Richard J. Kowalewski, 79, of Palatine since 1973, will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 beginning at 3:00PM.  A Memorial Service will begin at 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, 10:00AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine.  The Interment will be private.

Richard was born on August 23, 1935 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Stanley and Frances (nee Wyruchowski) Kowalewski and passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Holy Rosary Council #4483 of Arlington Heights.

Richard was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor nee: Gucik Kowalewski; loving father of Kathryn Thoman, James, (Tia) Kowalewski and Karen (Paul) Young; cherished grandfather of Torie, Jonathan and Jameson Thoman, Jacob, Caleb and Luke Kowalewski, and Katie and Joshua Young; dear brother of Eleanor (late Mitchell) Jozef and Raymond (late Anne) Kowalewski; he is also survived by his life partner Margie Smith and also many nieces and nephews.
