Richard M. Azzaro, Sr.

Visitation for Richard “Dick” Mario Azzaro, Sr., 74, of Palatine for 24 years, formerly of Chicago, will be held Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Prayers will begin Tuesday, January 7, 2013, 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine, for a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.  The Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 and enjoyed, cooking, gardening and fishing.  Most of all, his family was everything to him.

Richard was the beloved husband of Janet M. (nee Borio) Azzaro; loving father of Nina (John) Mikuzis, Richard (Mary Pat) Azzaro Jr., Jennefer (Douglas) Klatt and Josephine (Kevin) Unwin; loving grandfather of Colette, John, Stephanie, Michael, Sam, Joseph, Allison, Grace, Sophia and Kevin; dear son of the late Michael and Josephine (Geraci) Azzaro; fond brother of Angela (late Anthony) Amici, Vince (Kathleen) Azzaro and Geraldine (Arnold) Sambel.
