Rita E. Romei

Visitation for Rita E. Romei, (nee Polidori) will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich from 10:00 am until the time as the Mass of Christian Burial commences at 11:00 a.m. The Inurnment will be private.

Rita was born May 25, 1929, to Veronica (nee Allunni) and Antonio Polidori. She passed away December 11, 2022.

Rita was a devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sharing her love of Italian food, family, and hospitality throughout her life. While Reno, her husband of 63 years built sturdy houses, she built a strong and loving family based upon a solid foundation of unconditional love, laughter, and great Italian cooking!

Rita was the beloved wife of the late Reno Romei; devoted mother of four sons, Randy (Mary Ann Chambers), Regan (Laurie), the late Russell, and Robert (Dianne); grandmother of Phil (Ellen Marra) Romei, Ann Romei, Peter (Meggan) Romei, Landen (Richard) Zernickow, Kaitlin (Duncan) Standridge, Matthew (fiancé Melanca Logan) Romei, Pierce Romei and Allison Romei; great-grandmother of Arthur Zernickow, Benjamin Zernickow, Isabelle Romei, and Adira Standridge.
