Rita Hardy

On Sunday June 5^th, 2016 Rita Hardy, 82, the bingo expert and garage sale connoisseur of Lake Zurich, IL passed away suddenly due to medical complications. Rita was born in Chicago, IL on April 22^nd, 1934 to her parents, the late William and Herta (Kuechler) Hadeler and sister, Dolores (Chwalinski). She met her sweetheart and love of her life, George B. Hardy, on a blind date at an ice cream shop and remained a loving and faithful wife for 63 years. Rita taught many wonderful lessons: the love and importance of family, always keeping a sense of humor, and the value of truly listening to others. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts and trust of many. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family: husband George, daughters Caroline and Cathleen, her grandchildren Jack, Nikki, Carly and Alison, many nieces and nephews, and her dogs. A Memorable Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
