Robert A. Borg

Visitation for Robert A. Borg, 79, of Long Grove, will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 2:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Interment will be private.

Robert was born July 18, 1935 in Chicago, and he passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, peacefully at home.

Robert graduated from Lane Tech High School and enjoyed a career as a master carpenter and builder.  He was active in the Long Grove community in the past, serving as Long Grove Park Commissioner, Steward and with several committees.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the National Guard.

Robert was the beloved husband of Marie L. Borg (nee Lasso); loving father of Allen (Amber) Borg, Erik Borg and Christian Borg; loving grandfather of  Robert, Gerald and Karolina; loving step-father of Scott A. Borge; loving step-grandfather of Summer and Sarah Borge; dear son of  the late Axel and Alice (nee Jensen) Borg.
