Robert Fanelli

A Memorial Service for Robert “Bob” Fanelli will be held at a later date.

Robert was born August 25, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Dominick and Geraldine (nee Duff) Fanelli.  He passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital.

Robert moved with his father and two brothers to Palatine in 1961 where he graduated from Palatine H.S. in 1965.  After graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam Era.  After his military service, he worked in the service industry as a cook and bartender at a number of popular restaurants and entertainment establishments in the northwest suburbs. He moved to California and Florida in the mid 1970’s and to Wisconsin in the 1990’s.  Although he moved several times during the 70’s and 90’s he has always maintained a connection to the Palatine area and would return home.

He is survived by brothers; Ralph of Florida, Nick (Pam) of Ingomar, Montana, Charles of Palatine and sister; Pat Gavros of Dade City, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers; Donald and Gerald.
