Robert K. Regal

The visitation for Robert K. Regal, 74, of Palatine since 1975,  who passed away December 11, 2013 at Manor Care in Arlington Heights, will be held Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest   Highway, Palatine.  The visitation will continue Monday, December 23, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.  The Interment will be private

Robert was born March 17, 1939 in Chicago.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara L. Regal (nee LaFrenere); loving father of Stephen (Jennie) Regal and David Regal; loving grandfather of Emma, Grace and Jared Regal; fond brother of Edward (Debbie) Regal; brother-in-law of James (Sally) LaFrenere and Janice Hora; dear uncle of Michael (Karen) Regal, Janine (Ian) Liebman, Tony (Julie) LaFrenere, Matthew LaFrenere, Kristin (John) Light and Jenn (Garret) Jerger; fond cousin of Nanette (Steve) Wollack and Edward (Rita) Kraus.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Fannie (nee Kraus) Regal.

Robert was a long time avid volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, having volunteered many times for the telethon.  He was an active member of his neighborhood community.
